Matthew Wild d8ae4fa9c9 Backout changeset 6e67c73f730c: not a major fix and it breaks interop with at least Isode M-Link, and possibly standards, while it's not clear it actually fixes the original problem either.

# Prosody IM Server

## Description

Prosody is a server for Jabber/XMPP written in Lua. It aims to be easy 
to use and light on resources. For developers, it aims to give a 
flexible system on which to rapidly develop added functionality or 
rapidly prototype new protocols.
